Currently I serve as Chairman/President of the Harsens Island Transportation Authority (HITA) Board.
I take this role very seriously and am working diligently to establish safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation to Harsens Island.
I served on the Clay Township Planning Commission Board for four years and served on the Clay Township ZBA Board.  I have a builder’s license and a license in refrigeration.  With this knowledge I was able to share information to help both Boards make informed decisions.  I am also an active member of the Harsens Island Lions Organization.

I’ve been a full time island resident since 09. I’ve been coming here my entire life. I was appointed to this position for HITA board. I feel that I present a level headed position in what is the best options for Harsens Island.

I am currently the President of the Harsens Island Lions for past 4 yrs. I am a director on the Harsens Island St. Clair Flats Association for the Past 14 yrs.
I also serve on the ZBA  board for Clay Twp for past 9 yrs. I love this community! Want nothing but the best for it.

Currently retired following 48 years in automotive paint with General Motors and various paint manufacturers. Responsibilities included manufacturing, engineering, business development, and marketing. During my employment I traveled extensively both domestically and globally.
I have been coming to Harsens Island hunting and fishing since the early 1990s. My wife and I enjoy the island lifestyle and all it has to offer. My goal as a member of HITA is to provide safe, reliable, and affordable transportation to/from Harsens Island for residents and visitors.

I have lived on Harsens Island since 1998 after purchasing my aunt’s home which she built in 1945.  As a member of HITA I am committed to helping secure safe affordable and reliable passage to and from harsens island for all residents and visitors as well as providing transportation services on the island.

I am married to Carol Ann, my wife of 43 years and have 3 adult children. I retired from Henry Ford Macomb Hospital where I served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2004-2019. Prior to that I was employed at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo from 1984-2004. While at Borgess I served in a number of administrative roles ranging from the Director of Respiratory Care to the Chief Operating Office of Ambulatory Services. I started my health career at Port Huron Hospital in 1975 where I worked as the Director of Respiratory Care.
